Summary: | In Tamano Works of Nippi (Japan-Philippine) Kyodou (Cooperative) Smelting Co., the low cost production system has been operated through development of original cokes combustion technology. The system is an improved version of Outokumpu smelting furnace and is called as T-FSF (Tamano Type Flash Smelting Furnace). By the computer guided system for coke combustion in the T-FSF (CCCT), the technology can be reproduced, and CCCT has functions of trend control and prediction. A paper reports recent response to high quality matte operation and low S/Cu minerals operation. A paper explains recent improvements toward homogeneous combustion of a burner. 2% raise in matte quality without raise of slag loss was attained. |
