Summary: | Bulk samples with submicrocrystalline structure were produced by severe plastic deformation of cast terbium. The processed samples of submicrocrystalline Tb are characterised by reduced values of magnetisation and magnetic transition temperature in comparison with a coarse grained state. Relying on transmission electron microscopy and X-ray data an assumption has been made for explanation of the observed phenomena. |
