Summary:[...]it's a celebration of the new organ in the Konzertkirche Neubrandenburg. [...]the set celebrates the artistry of Iveta Apkalna. Whether in the improvisational spirit of the openings of the Bach Toccata and the Liszt Prelude or in the solidly monumental grandeur that rounds out the Ad nos Fugue, whether in the blasts of violence that interrupt Vasks's Musica seria or the eerie misterioso that launches the fugue in Liszt's Bach homage, she's got a quick and sensitive reaction to the changing needs of her chosen material; and aside from a few smudges in the faster passagework (hardly surprising, given the nature of the instrument), she shows a real flair for what is often super-virtuosic fare.
