Effect of the ordering on the magnetic and magnetoimpedance properties of Fe-6.5% Si alloy

Summary:In this work, the magnetoimpedance effect is employed to analyze the annealing conditions leading to the optimum soft magnetic behavior in rapidly solidified crystalline Fe-6.5% Si alloy. The degree of order (avoidance of the DO sub 3 superstructure) of the characteristic crystalline phase obtained after high-temperature annealing (1373 K), represents the main parameter governing the soft magnetic response of the annealed samples.
