Summary:This article presents a study on new structural fibre-reinforced concrete for foundations applications. Two kinds of FRC have been tested. The fist was made of pre-positioned long fibres placed in an injected mortar. The second was a continuous fibre reinforced concrete: a continuous fibre was randomly dispersed in the mortar. Both materials will require the development of specific placing equipments for an industrial use. Four points flexural tests have been performed on prismatic 7x7x28cm specimens. The first results show that the use of long or continuous fibres significantly improves the tensile strength of the tested materials, tensile strengths over 13 MPa were obtained when the tensile strength of the matrix was under 3 MPa. These results also give qualitative information about the cracking, the breaking down and the fibre-mortar adherence
