Summary: | Peregrine's stock in trade is RF switches, so it's not surprising that their solution takes a switched-capacitor approach to antenna tuning. Because Peregrine's UltraCMOS (CMOSon-Sapphire) technology enables monolithic integration of RF, analog and digital circuitry, their single-die DuNE DTCs integrate high-Q tunable capacitors (Q=40 to 80 at 1-2 GHz) with a built-in low-voltage serial interface, in a chip-scale package offering a footprint that is 5x smaller than competing technologies. |
