Summary:A field experiment was carried oul with 21 rice genotypes for grain yield per plant and seven yield component traits to identify genotypes for cultivation across early, normal and late kharif seasons of the scarce rainfall zone of Andhra Pradesh state. The results revealed significant genotype x season interaction and the importance of both linear and non-linear components of interaction for all the traits studied. The genotypes, RNR11718, MTU PS 8-7-1-1 and MTU 11371-4-1-1 were identified as potential genotypes suitable for cultivation across the paddy growing kharif seasons prevalent in the zone, while BPT 2671 was identified as potential genotype for cultivation during the normal kharif seaon of the scarce rainfall zone of Andhra Pradesh.
