Summary:The comparison of taxonomic diversity and the ecological quality of two hydrosystems (Lukunga and Mangengenge) was studied from June to August 2011 in Lukunga and from June to August 2014 in Mangengenge. The sampling of the benthic macroinvertebrate was carried out thanks to the net in each station of sampling. The ecological quality of water was evaluated starting from indices (Shannon and Weaver, Equitability and IBGN). Both hydrosystems studied are diversified in the benthic macroinvertebres Thousand three hundred and seventy five macroinvertebres benthic were collected in the Lukunga river and three hundred and ninety in Mangengenge. Calculated indicial values: IBGN varies from 15/20 to 16/20 in the Mangengenge R and from 3/20 to 7/20 in the Lukunga River. Shannon and Weaver index 1,6 to 2,9 in Lukunga and 2,8 to 3,4 in Mangengenge. The presence of Ephemeroptera and Trichoptera in Mangengenge associated with the indicial values with Shannon and Weaver (3,4) and with the IBGN note (14/20), shows that the water of this hydrosysteme is good compared to those of Lukunga River.
