Summary:We study the optimal temperature to obtain YBa sub(2)Cu sub(3)O sub(7- [delta]) epitaxial films grown onto SrTiO sub(3) substrates by direct solution deposition. The samples received heat treatment at 820, 840 and 860 [degrees]C, then characterized by XRD, observing the (00l) profiles; and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The T sub(C-onset) for all the samples was 90 K. In addition, the current - voltage (I-V) measurements shows typical tunneling signals corresponding to normal metal-superconducting junctions indicating the films are promising for potential electrical applications.
