Summary:We report an outbreak of cryptosporidiosis linked to drinking school milk in September, 1995. The first cases occurred on Sept 9 and 10 when two children were admitted to hospital. During the next week, 48 of the 260 junior schoolchildren became ill. Faecal samples were obtained from 20 of these children and 16 tested positive for cryptosporidial oocysts. No staff at the school reported being ill.
