Summary:The increase of fuel price specially diesel fuel very affecting to effort on fishing. Fishermen overcome their problem by mixing the diesel fuel with the kerosene and the kerosene with oil which burns their ship. Their action effect gas emission on motor ship that influence to environmental specially the marine ecosystem. Gas emission was examined to relate ISO 8178 that is international standard to test the emission of non road engine. Measurement test the emission consisted of the: CO, S0 sub(2), NO sub(x), N0 sub(2), NO, and PM (particulate matter). The result showed the gas emission of mixing fuel still be peaceful in a condition to environment consisted of NO, N0 sub(2), NO sub(x) ( less than or equal to 3.5 ppm), CO (0.0 ppm because the motor ship was new), particulate matter ( less than or equal to 50 mu g/m super(3)) and gas emission S0 sub(2) exceeded the limit (>0.5 ppm).Original Abstract: Kenaikan harga bahan bakar minyak (BBM) sangat berdampak terhadap usaha perikanan tangkap karena kenaikan BBM tersebut khususnya harga minyak solar sangat memberatkan para nelayan, mereka harus mengeluarkan biaya operasional lebih besar untuk menjalankan usaha perikanan tangkap. Untuk mengatasi kenaikan harga minyak solar maka nelayan mensiasati dengan cara mengoplos solar dengan minyak tanah bahkan mengoplos minyak tanah dengan oli sebagai bahan bakar kapalnya. Tindakan pengoplosan bahan bakar minyak ini mengakibatkan perubahan komposisi emisi gas buang kapal mempengaruhi kualitas lingkungan khususnya pada ekosistem perairan laut. Pengujian emisi gas buang mengacu pada ISO 8178 yaitu standar internasional untuk uji emisi pada non road engine. Pengukuran uji emisi terdiri dari: CO, S0 sub(2), NO sub(x), N0 sub(2), NO, dan PM (particulate matter). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan emisi gas buang pada bahan bakar minyak oplosan masih dalam kondisi aman terhadap lingkungan yang terdiri dari NO, N0 sub(2), NO sub(x) (masing-masing less than or equal to 3,5 ppm) dan CO (0 ppm pada kondisi mesin kapal masih baru) serta partikulat ( less than or equal to 50 mu g/m super(3) ) sedangkan emisi gas buang S0 sub(2) melebihi batas ambang (>0,5 ppm).
