Summary:In agricultural development, agricultural input retailers also play an important role with all other stakeholders. The study revealed that respondents had much larger homogenity on most of the socio-personal traits and other marketing behaviors. According to sale of technical grade, phosphamidon. Methyl Parathion, Carbofuran and Carbaryl had first position among the nineteen insecticides, Mancozeb and Edification occupied first position among eleven fungicides and butachlor occupied first position among the five herbicides. The present study revealed that under different sale promotion methods, individual contact method was the best method. The findings expressed that experience, investment, agricultural training, supply of products in proper time and in required quantity, retailing ability, communication skill and knowledge about plant protection, these factors were mainly responsible for variation in retailing performance level. Therefore, the extension agencies and all other line departments in the way of their agricultural development program should consider the findings carefully and include agricultural input retailers as one of companions.
