Summary:This article presents the development and testing of an educational kit composed of a metal plate with a magnetic checkered board on one side, magnetic x and y axes numbered in Braille, plane geometric forms made of EVA with magnetic surfaces, magnet pins, pieces of flexible wire and bits of bicycle spokes of varying sizes. The kit enables blind people, using the sense of touch, to carry out various mathematical activities involving plane geometric figures and graphs of polynomial functions. The material is the product of a qualitative research project conducted as part of a Professional Masters degree program in Science and Mathematics Teaching. The material was tested by one 6th grade blind student in a public school in the state of Rondonia to study plane geometry, resulting in a case study.
