Summary:// ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH: Petroleum installations in the Arctic differ widely owing to the region's complex geological history. They are classical, but prospecting and producing from "polar" fields represent a technological challenge given the extreme climatic conditions. The distance of oil and gas fields from zones of consumption and the transportation difficulties entail gigantic investments for working these fields and bringing their production to the marketplace.
