Summary: | The regeneration of chemical reagent, Fe super(II)EDTA, in the wet process of NO removal, was investigated. Electrochemical measurements were depicted by Potentiostat/Galvanostat in a three-electrode glass cell. The reference electrode, a saturated calomel electrode (SCE) with a luggin capillary probe, was placed near the working electrode surface to minimize the ohmic drop through the cell. Hydrogen collection was performed by hydrogen collection method. Cyclic voltammetry was used to test the reversibility of Fe super(III)EDTA/Fe super(II)EDTA. Direct electrochemical regeneration Fe super(III)EDTA was investigated over a wide range of potential. It was observed that conversion of Fe super(III)EDTA into Fe super(II)EDTA was a fast reversible process with monoelectron transferred. The results showed that electrons were mainly transferred to reduce Fe super(III)EDTA. |
