Summary:Reports on the second Bienal de Valencia entitled La Città Ideale< /i> held in various locations in Valencia, Spain (6 June-30 Sept. 2003). The authors consider the participation in the Biennial of different artistic languages, examine the focus in the Biennial on the theme of the city, and describe five exhibitions which form part of the Biennial, namely Solares, an exhibition of photographs by the Brazilian photographer Sebastião Salgado, Il Volto, Specchio della Società, I Bambini Ci Salveranno?, and Il Museo del Passato Imperfetto. They consider theatrical activities scheduled during the Biennial, highlighting the closing event of the Biennial, and conclude by outlining the coherent structure of the Biennial.
