Summary:Ports are a vital infrastructure needed to optimize the transportation and utilization of marine resources. As an essential means, shipping lanes must be in good condition so that the sea transportation process runs smoothly. This paper analyzes the sedimentation conditions in the shipping lane at the Tanjung Rhu port in Belitung. The investigation used a numerical model with Delft3D to predict shipping channel sedimentation over 10 years. Based on the simulation results, sedimentation occurred at the mouth of the shipping channel because the current speed was low in that area. This fact is due to conditions in the field, namely that it is difficult for ships to enter this route. Negligence can cause a ship to run aground, especially when seawater conditions are low.
