Summary:Basing on forestry-estimated and landscape metrics we analyzed the current state of parks in Kyiv, namely Darnytsky, Concha Zaspa and Sviatoshynsky parks, as well as their recreation areas. We defined the aesthetic and phytosanitary state of forest park plantings, especially the use of recreational areas lands and determined the degree of their digression. We analyzed the future development of farming in recreation areas and woodlands in general, according to the new needs of the population, dictated by the strengthening of urbanization in Kiev city. We elaborated the recommendations on the future prospects of the forest park sets and the ways to save them.
