In the hospital setting, we helped the team to create joint processes from the ground up and then watch each other tackle those processes. In the chemical company, as the new managers demonstrated an ability to work within the established processes with positive outcomes, upper managers could reduce their hand-holding and slowly build comfort in entrusting the new managers with additional responsibilities. 3.
