Summary:For many years, the exact location of the original manuscript of Fray Bernardino de Sahagún's Evangeliarium, a second expanded version of the Biblical translations into Nahuatl for use by indigenous peoples during the liturgy, found in the 19th century by J.C. Beltrami and published by B. Biondelli in 1858, was an enigma. In the 20th century, only the prominent archaeologist Eulalia Guzmán revealed the existence of this manuscript, but her discovery was completely ignored. After several years of careful searching, the author has been able to locate what is without doubt the original manuscript in the Braidense Library in Milan.
