Summary: | [LANGUAGE= "English"] Purpose: In this study, occupational injury cases admitted to the Department of Forensic Medicine, Ankara University Medical Faculty and official forensic reports after the obligatory examinations were analysed in terms of sex, age, time, trauma location, and rate of disability.Material and Methods: This study is composed of all individuals with occupational injuries who had been examined in order to determine individual percent OF disability by The Department of Forensic Medicine, Ankara University Medical Faculty between July 1, 1993- June 30, 2003. Thirty-two people were included in the study, 31 male and 1 female.Results: The results indicated that the age group with the greatest number (31.1%) of trauma was between 31-40 years. The most common location of injury was in the hand (43.7%). The most common disability was joint ankylosis (33.3%).Conclusion: 42.8% of cases had 31.0% or higher ratio of disability. We compared our results with other studies in the literature. |
