Abstract The current commonly used chemotherapeutic drugs have such disadvantages as high toxicity and side effects, long treatment cycle and high cost. [...]the search for a kind of efficient, safe and inexpensive natural anticancer drugs is a hot spot of current drug research. Zhang Liyi et al. 191 explored the effect of OP-B on the growth of AGS cells in GC by constructing a nude-mouse transplanted tumor model, and put forward that OP-B could significantly reduce the expression level of GPX4 and xCT proteins in tumor tissue, thus reducing the volume and weight of the transplanted tumor. Gao Guangyi et al. 2 reported that OP-B (20 |janol/l.) could increase the number of HCT-116 cells at G phase , inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells, and induce cell cycle arrest at G phase through flow cytometry and western blot assay. [14] explored the effect of OP-B on the growth of MHCC97-H cells by constructing a nude-mouse transplanted tumor model, and found that OP-B (75 mg/kg) could induce the apoptosis of MHCC97-H cells by down-regulating the expression levels of protein tyrosine phosphatase 1В ( PTPIB) , N-cadherin and vascular endothelial growth factor ( VEGE) , then reduce the viability of MHCC97-H cells, and inhibit the formation of new blood vessels in tumor, ultimately reducing tumor volume and weight in nude mice.
