Summary:Globally, employee engagement is a key corporate concern and the notion is acquiring significant importance in managerial and academic circles. Employers who value and care about their employees are more likely to see commitment, enthusiasm, and focus in their employees. This is because of the social exchange mechanisms that are activated. Human Resource Management (HRM) practices that meet the needs of employees, make them feel honored, heard, wanted, and valued, which are important assets in any organization, irrespective of its size, nature of ownership, or control. In this paper, an attempt has been made to add value to the existing literature by determining the HRM practices that are crucial to employee engagement. The study discovered that HRM practices like career advancement, job security, and performance evaluation increased employee engagement. It demonstrates that effective HRM practices in the workplace give employees strong signals that they are valued, appreciated, and recognized. Additionally, it was discovered that when there is careful and effective selection and recruitment, as well as adequate training and development, employees are willing to stay with the organization and contribute to its success. The current study's findings will add to the body of knowledge on how to engage employees and improve their sense of belonging, safety, and availability at work through good HRM practices.
