Summary:Augustine talks about Catholic Libraries as being a field hospital. From his limited experience with libraries from school, the library wasn't just a functional space or building. He went to undergrad at Loyola, and Xavier University of Louisiana. He was blessed that after Hurricane Katrina they moved their program from Xavier to the place he wanted to go to undergrad, but couldn't afford--the University of Notre Dame in South Bend. He hung out in their library; that was his safe space to get away from the craziness of the people who were up there from Xavier, who had him running around. But, in and of that, they are here because God has blessed them with a safe space in some way, shape or form.
