Summary:Lichen sclerosus is a less known chronic autoimmune skin disease, that usually but not exclusively affects the genital area of men and women. The surgical treatment of penile tumors varies based on the local extent of the affliction, starting with laser ablation or local excision associated with circumcision for small superficial lesions, moving to partial or total glansectomy in invasive tumors confined to the glans, all the way to partial or total penectomy in the advanced forms of the disease. The histopathologic examination revealed Ta-T2 squamous cell carcinoma of the penis adjacent to lichen sclerosus in all cases.
