Summary:The objective is to analyze the quality and educational management processes that the Luis Vargas Torres de Esmeraldas Technical University has led in the face of digital transformation in times of COVID-19, for this a descriptive study has been carried out which focuses on the Analysis of the digital transformation of the educational process as a result of Covid-19, the management and quality of higher education has been characterized, considering the effects of digital transformation in an educational process centered on virtual teaching and learning. Information was collected from the IT platform of the ICT department, addressing the virtual courses created before and the virtual teaching-learning process. The findings of this study indicate that despite the creation of virtual courses and the application of a virtual modality, the digital transformation process has not contemplated the management and quality necessary for suitable learning. Sin embargo, el hecho de haber creado los cursos digitales e impartir las clases virtualmente mediante aplicaciones como Meet, Zoom, Facebook y videos pregrabados, la gestión tanto de los docentes como de las autoridades académicas no han sido pertinentes para generar un control que enrumbe la modalidad virtual de aprendizaje a estándares de calidad necesarios para el desarrollo del proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje. 2.
