Summary:The present research article aims at determining the incidence of affective bonds in adaptation processes of babies (6 to 36 months of age) to a childcare center in Apartadó, Colombia. The research has a correlational quantitative approach; non-participant observation and surveys were applied. The measurement instruments were the Camir-R summarized questionnaire, Ainsworth's test in "strange situations" referring to children's adaptation, and the observation format designed by the children's center.
