Summary:Zahler et al response to the comments about their article on a potential path to universal coverage with Medicare advantage for all. Traditional Medicare for All and MA for All share many similarities and goals, including universal coverage that recognizes access to health care as a right. Both frameworks for reform would allow the US to address many of the primary levers of health care waste identified by Shrank et al, including pricing failures (5231 billion to $241 billion annually) and administrative complexity ($266 billion).
