Summary:Background and purpose: To investigate the effect of special fall prevention management in a rehabilitation ward. Methods: All patients in a rehabilitation ward were at high risk of falling. They received special fall prevention management, including health education, special fall prevention strategies, and actions for rehabilitation by doctor, therapist, and nurse. Results: After intervention, the incidence of falling decreased, compared with pre-intervention (p<0.001). Conclusion: Special fall prevention management in a rehabilitation ward helps reduce the falling rate.
