Summary:In this reflection, the characteristics of the training are not criticized, nor the expected profile of the teacher, but the gaps that must be bridged in continuous learning and teaching. Some of them are: the Information Age, the social perception of the career, the participation of foreign words, the way in which the introduction to the discipline and its basic psychological processes is approached. [...]the commitment assumed by the teacher is explored, useful when he seeks to improve experience and understanding, but counterproductive if exhaustion and minimal effort lead to the reproduction of the index of a text. Unifying the opinions of the student, who runs into superfluous texts, with the thought of the teacher who struggles to land complex content, makes evident the need for weapons such as complementary readings, audiovisual resources and research in this battle where theirs are at stake.
