Summary:Abstract In order to provide theoretical basis and technical support for the afforestation and artificial water supply of P . szechuanica in arid areas, the characteristics of water consumption of P. szechuanica were explored, and the law of water demand of P. szechuanica was grasped. According to the designed soil moisture content, weight of each pot was calculated ( 13 000 g $ as standard pot weight of each treatment level. Calculation method for leaf area of whole plant % Leaf area of whole plant = Area of typical single leaf x Number of leaves of the whole plant. 1.5 Analytic methods of data Using Microsoft Office Excel 2019, data processing and statistics were conducted. Using QTLIciMapping, multiple comparison analysis was conducted. 2 Results and analyses 2.1 Monthly change of water consumption of 1 - 0 rooted cuttings of P. szechuanica Seen from Fig. 1 - 2 and Table 1, monthly change of water consumption of test seedlings showed a double-peak trend of " slow - fast - slow - rise again" during growth period of the year, which corresponded with univariate linear relation, and correlation coefficient could reach 0.7137.
