Summary:The Pillars of Indian Democracy rests on ensuring Social Justice & safeguarding personal liberties of every citizen.Social Work is a practice-based profession. How to effectively work, in keeping with the values of Social work at the Social Casework level, i.e., at the Micro Social settings. Or, Group Work practice at the Messo Levels. And, Community Organisation, at the Macro level, thus interfacing with Institutions is dealt exhaustively in Theory and Field Work studies of Social Work.CSR as a practice also works in upholding the values of Social Work in the larger societal interest.The ultimate goal of School Education has to equitably reach one and all students across the rural and urban divides Universally & Equitably. Access, Teacher Availability, their Quality & Continuous Training has to go on. The Pedagogical aspects resulting in better Learning Outcomes need to be steadily maintained and improved for each of the children regardless of their caste, religion, sex or socioeconomic conditions. The schooling experience has to achieve the targets of Literacy Goals. Thus, Infrastructure and Policy guidelines; as enumerated under RTE Act, in keeping with Child Centricity need to be responsive.CSR Compliant Companies are working in societal development areas under the policy direction of Ministry of Corporate Affairs, GoI.In this study, 5 CSR Compliant Companies and their Educational Contributions have been studied. These 5 Co’s are Private Sector, MNC Conglomerates and Industry Leaders in their respective product portfolios. It is an Explorative, Descriptive Case Study; undertaken using Qualitative Techniques from the North of Gujarat to Central and South Gujarat. The Data was collected using schedules and multi stage purposive sampling. Structured and unstructured interviews were conducted. In depth Interviews & FGDs were conducted. A total of 9-Schools (Adopted & own schools) of CSR Compliant Co’s across 12 villages and towns from Industrial clusters, coast to coast; to tribal belts, have been explored and studied. In all 96 parents’, their socio-educational and economic circumstances have been studied and presented as a detailed Casework to illustrate who the school going child is. The parent’s perception about schooling experience of their children has been studied and documented. The findings suggest that all the 5-CSR compliant companies are pooling in their social and economic capital along with human resources to achieve the National Developmental Goals. Going forward; any betterment to the school education eco-system to achieve Aatmanirbhar Bharat will be a good endeavour and which is where we are headed as a Country.
