Summary:Since 1992, the total sugar output of Guangxi has ranked first in China. [...]due to terrain condition of Guangxi, low level of mechanization, backward production technology, high production cost, and low production and management tevel, the production cost of sugar enterprises is too high, while the economic benefit is low, and the competitiveness is not strong. [...]it is urgent to find out the main problems that restrict the development of cane sugar industry in Guangxi and take effective measures to improve the competitiveness of cane sugar industry^21. Affected by the continuous downward trend of the domestic economy, the domestic sugar price has been declining for several consecutive years since 2013, and the national sugar industry has experienced profit decline or even large-scale loss to varying degrees. Since the 2012/2013 crushing season, Guangxi sugar industry has seen a decline in revenue, a decrease in profits and an increase in losses, and the loss reached over 78. [...]utilization ratio of chemical fertilizer is low, and there is blind increase of chemical fertilizer, and a large number of unreasonable fertilization phenomenon.
