Summary:This article establishes the current state of research into climate change education in Latin America based on a review of publications in the Scielo, Ebscohost, Dialnet, and Redalyc databases from 2009 to 2019. The categories "education"AND "climate change"OR "global warming"were used, and a sample of 36 studies was selected. The results show that in Latin America, climate change education has been approached mainly by studies of perception and social representations, including educational proposals that target the young population. Misconceptions about climate change and confusion of this phenomenon with other environmental problems are noted.
