Aim: This study investigated the paradoxical anti-fertility effect of amlodipine in Wistar rats with a view to proposing it as a safe male contraceptive. Experimental design A total number of 20 male adult Wistar rats (Rattus novegicus) weighing between 120-170g were gotten from the animal house of Babcock University, Ogun State, Nigeria. [12] Body weight, feed intake and water intake The body weight of the animals were taken daily throughout the duration of administration using Camry weighing scale, China; this was done to observe the weight gain and loss.
