Summary: | Nosocomial or intra-hospital infections, defined nowadays - by the Order of the Ministry of Health no.1101/2016 - as infections associated to medical assistance (IAAM) and identified in medical units all over the world, are generated by medical practice, so that they constitute an important aspect of public health by the morbidity, mortality, prolongued hospitalization periods and high costs they induce. [...]paediatric guides are elaborated for identifying patients with compensated septic shock as, hopefully, a precocious intervention might prevent the severe decompensation cases, which imminently lead to death. [...]the children evidencing - during their physical examination - cold extremities with delayed capillary refilling, even if they receive intravenous perfusions, are diagnosticated with septic shock, being treated in a similar manner with children with decompensated septic shock (8).
