Summary: | The automation integrates two processes of the farm, which are the production of organic fertilizer in the vermicultive and of hydroponic green fodder in the greenhouse. Many of the repetitive tasks that were performed by workforce, were replaced by electronic devices, while maintaining a strict census on the different variables involved and taking the necessary control actions for the proper functioning of the farm. The implementation was realized with embedded systems of low cost like Arduino and Raspberry achieving compliance with the most of requirements requested for the automation, with efficient answers by part of the actuators.
