Summary: | In a year of steady growth in tax revenues, Ernst & Young has retained its leadership of the rankings. Price Waterhouse still gains a higher proportion of revenues from tax than the other firms. International Tax Review compiled a break-down of the worldwide tax revenues of the Big 6 accounting firms. Each firm has its own definition of what to include in tax revenues, but the sort of work that earns revenue is changing for all firms. Corporations of a certain size have found it more economical to prepare their own tax returns and not outsource compliance. The shift in focus by the Big 6 has been toward tax consultancy. |
