Summary: | In Ontario, when the provincial government announced major changes to the health care structure, we moved to action by meeting with members of provincial parliament to ensure they understood the needs of the medical laboratory in this new structure. Several education programs have indicated being able to increase by six, eight or even up to 16 new students by 2020. Just this past February, we saw a new program open at Oulton College, injecting 32 new student spots and essentially 32 new professionals into the workforce. |
