Summary:This paper describes the experiences of a group of ten Information Technologies university students, who were presented for the first time with a video in 360 degrees. They were surveyed to learn about their perceptions; they described their experience and evaluated the use of virtual reality. The data was collected with a questionnaire of twelve questions with the Likert scale. The statistical analysis consisted in obtaining frequencies in SPSS. The majority of the students had a good experience. Virtual reality was valued positively for uses of education, health, therapy, and support for people with disabilities, but there were divided opinions on its future use. These contributions allow to contextualize future researches and educational implementations.
