Summary: | The Rockport Art Association & Museum are once again privileged to host their 34th Annual Benefit Exhibition, which began with a bequest from artist member Antonio Cirino (1888-1983), who left his artwork to the RAA&M with the stipulation the art be auctioned to help support this non-profit organization. Although this Benefit Exhibition originally centered on Cirino and other Cape Ann School painters it has, over the years, expanded to include more diverse works by artists from farther afield. Nevertheless, it is Cape Ann's charisma that continues to play a large part in the event. The Cape Ann School--A Voyage of Discovery will be on view April 24-May 4, 2019 |
