Summary: | Air pollution is a big problem of the last few decades due to aggression on human health, on all environmental components, generally on the natural or built environment.European directives on environment quality introduce the concept of modeling on quality of air ambient assessment and management, as a technique of measurement, calculation, prediction and assessment of the levels of pollutants. It is very important the role that the modeling pollutant dispersion has in the air quality assessment, while representing an important tool in developing action plans to improve air quality, which is the purpose and the ultimate goal of public environmental authorities.Modeling improves the effectiveness of air quality management. Through modeling, it can be identified each source categories contribution to exceed the limit values. This paper presents a study on the modeling of pollutant dispersion of local and regional scale which will focus on assessing the impact on air quality caused by emission sources associated with the activities of Rovinari Electro Power plant. Mathematical modeling of the dispersion of pollutants in the ambiental air and drawing up maps of dispersion were performed for the following situations: - Operation of all four power units without desulphurisation plant of flue gas - Operation of three power units without desulphurisation plant of flue gas and of one power unit with desulphurisation plant of flue gas - Operation of two power units without desulphurisation plant of flue gas and of two power units with desulphurisation plant of flue gas - Operation of one power unit without desulphurisation plant of flue gas and of three power units with desulphurisation plants of flue gas - Operation of all four power units with desulphurisation plant of flue gas. |
