Summary:This work was interdisciplinary, so the data provided by the measurements went into the Central Park rehabilitation project, providing graphical support for architects, structural engineers, plant engineers, specialists in landscaping. Baile Herculane is a famous Romanian resort which is located in the south - eastern county of Caras Severin, along the tectonic corridor Cerna Valley, which separates the Mehedinti Mountains from the Cerna-Godeanu Mountains. The Central Park related land is owned by the City Council of Baile Herculane, according to the Real Estate Register Excerpt, the land having on paper an area of 7176 m2 The plan shape of the land is relatively regular, rectangular differences in level as cascading terraces. Moving from one area to another is done in stairs. Execution of the measurements required a series of specific topographycal, geodesycal and cartographical techniques, and their achievement involved the use of digital technologies suited for work in the field as well as in the office. The equipment used for the execution consisted of a topographic GPS HI TARGET V30 model and type Leica total station TCR 407. The field work facilitated the obtaining of the necessary data related to location, outline park, neighborhoods and its specific details inside thereof. Measurements were performed through the RTK (Real Time Kinematic) method that supported correlation and error correction, with remote data transmission by radio and providing real-time, in the field coordinates for new points, including information on their quality. Closure of the details of the measurements was performed with the total station Leica TC (R) 407, using the erasure and the traverse methods. Processing the results from the field requires measurements required specific graphical methods of data processing software in 2D and 3D, for drawing up plans and maps for the land situation.
