Summary: | Purpose: This study's intention is to examine the relationship between fun at classroom and student satisfaction within the context of Private Higher Education Institution in Malaysia. Design/methodology/approach: The researcher utilized a quantitative data analysis to analyze the survey questionnaires. By using statistical methods, the results of quantitative analysis can confirm or contest hypotheses on the impact of characteristics of variables on students' performances and satisfaction level. All data obtained from the questionnaires processed using Statistical Package for Social Science Version 17.0 (SPSS Ver. 17.0). Findings: Findings recognized the results, which support the fact that student who experienced more fun in their classroom, had greater satisfaction. Overall, the participants in this sample showed relatively positive attitudes toward fun. Research limitations/implications: Future studies should examine a more comprehensive barrier on lecturer in teaching and learning method in classroom. In addition, in depth study of the barriers using qualitative study should also be considered for future studies. Practical implications: Hence, this research is instrumental to the existing literature on the positive outcomes of fun in classroom in relation to student satisfaction. The importance of fun in the classroom and student satisfaction is worth paying attention. The approach used is constructive to both researchers and practitioners. Originality/value: The study explore the effects of fun elements in the education industry in which the issue is relatively new in developing country like Malaysia. |
