Summary:Flexible Work Practices were initially, and are still more commonly, targeted towards women as a means for them to stay in the workforce while continuing to tend to their home and children. There has recently been an emergence of men venturing into Flexible Work Practices. Although, a man choosing to work flexibly is not commonplace, organizations should reexamine their Flexible Work Practice policies to ensure they are articulated in a way that is separate from gender. This study investigates the males' and females' perspective as to why they work flexibly and the impact it has on them and their employer. [PUBLICATION ABSTRACT]
