Summary:Issue Title: Cancer Metastasis and the Lymphovascular System: Basis for Rational Therapy The first international symposium on Cancer Metastasis and Lymphovascular System: Basis for Rational Therapy was held in San Francisco from April 20-30, 2005. There were a total of seven sessions and three lunch mini-symposia. The symposium was to address the critical issues of cancer metastasis and the lymphovascular system. It brought the basis scientists and clinicians together to interchange ideas so that laboratory findings can be applied to explain clinical dilemmas and clinical problems can be targeted for research in the laboratory. This symposium resulted in ten major manuscripts with each session or mini-symposium being formulated as the basis for each manuscript.
