Summary:Coagulation and flocculation are processes in which colloidal impurities, which are very hard to precipitate, are transferred to the precipitated form. To speed up the process and increase the effect of precipitation tests were conducted with dosing of natural material, in this case, quartz flour as mechanical means of improving the precipitation process. The essence of quartz flour to the fact that particles of quartz flour weight increase already coagulation particles and easier to precipitate. It should be noted that this is not intended to replace the aluminum sulfate with quartz flour, but to the common dosage speed up and improve the process of sedimentation.
