Summary: | The methodical thinking on how to teach and to learn French as a foreign language is using a metonymical terminolgy which obscures connexions between the discourse of handbooks and those of methods and classrooms. The first one, a mixt of the two others, is neither a strict application of a method nor exactly adjusted to the classes where it is used. It is just a tool the efficiency of which depends the way teachers and learners are hic et nunc using it. It cannot serve as a substitute for teachers' professional training or learners' personal work. |
