Summary:Located measurement of soil water were carried out on different forest lands in Jiulong Hill in Beijing. Results showed that: there are four peak values of soil water content during the tree growth stage, and the fluctuation is obvious. Relative soil water content (ratio of soil moisture to field moisture capacity) is often below 60%, and the amount of soil water isn't enough to supply the normal growth of trees in the region. It is not suitable to build commercial forest, but suitable for water and soil conservation forest. In order to ensure the trees grow normally, it is necessary to construct sparse structure forests. 试验地属北京市门头沟区,地处116°6'E,39°42'N,属太行山低山丘陵区,海拔220~599m。年平均气温11.8℃,一月份平均气温-4.1℃,七月份平均气温25.6℃;年平均降水量623.0mm,多雨年份达974.7mm,少雨年份仅285.3mm,其中1988、1989年的降水量分别为974.7mm、600.3mm,降水主要集中在6~9月,占全年降水量的80%以上,而7、8两月的降水量又占这一期间的80%以上;年平均蒸发量1870.7mm;年平均风速2.5m/s,主风向为西北风。属南温带亚湿润区和南温带亚干旱区。
