Summary:Making changes starts with setting goals. If you allow your time at work to be dictated purely by whatever lands on your desk that day, you'll be blown in whatever way the wind takes you. But if you start out by taking a good look at the business strategy, establishing what you can most usefully do to help achieve it, and set clear goals with this in mind, you've set a direction to focus on. You'll still be carried along by the wind to a certain extent, but you can keep taking yourself back to the direction you've set, so you'll be constantly moving forward. Once you've chosen your goals, use your time wisely in order to achieve them.
